Holland America is adding two new Asia itineraries out of Singapore.
The line’s new “Asian Adventure” routing on the 1,432-passenger Volendam is a 14-night trip that takes in Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand and India. Port calls include Malacca, Penang, Porto Malai and Port Klang (overnight) in Malaysia; Phuket, Thailand; Rangoon (overnight) in Myanmar; and Port Blair in India.
A single departure of the itinerary is set for Feb. 17, 2014.
Also 14 nights in length is Holland America’s new “Indonesian Discovery” itinerary out of Singapore, which will be offered on both the 1,404-passenger Rotterdam and the Volendam. Port calls on the itinerary include Jakarta; Semarang (Java); Lembar (Lombok); Komodo Island; Makassar (Sulawesi); Probolinggo and Suabaya (Java), as well as an overnight stay at Bali.
Departure dates are Jan. 6, Feb. 14 and 28, and March 14, 2014.
The new itineraries come as Holland America increases capacity in Asia for the 2013-2014 winter season. Both the Rotterdam and the Volendam will spend several months in the region offering trips out of Singapore, Hong Kong and Osaka, Japan.
Fares for Holland America’s 14-night Asia sailings start at $1,699 per person, based on double occupancy. The 14-night Indonesia Discovery sailings start at $1,799 per person.
