Travel advisories issued for parts of WNY – WGRZ-TV

WESTERN NEW YORK — The area’s first weather event of March began to impact travel conditions even hours before the peak of the storm.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office issued a no unnecessary travel advisory Thursday night until Friday morning. The City of Niagara Falls, Livingston County, the Village of Fredonia also issued travel advisories.

Fredonia Police Chief Brad Meyers cited downed power lines and tree limbs in the village.

At one point Thursday night, more than 2,000 NYSEG customers were without power, including about 900 in the Town of Orchard Park, 500 in Boston and 350 in the Town of Aurora.
